Chef Ton, the acclaimed Thai chef behind Le Du (Asia’s No.1 restaurant in Asia's 50 Best 2023) and Nusara, visited Tuah 1895 @ BBCC, a stunning new development set to redefine Kuala Lumpur’s culinary and cultural landscape.

Nestled within the heart of Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), Tuah 1895 is a heritage-inspired lifestyle hub, blending timeless architecture with curated dining and retail experiences. Designed to become KL’s next go-to destination for refined taste and cultural immersion, Tuah 1895 is already drawing some of the world’s most celebrated names.

During his visit, Chef Ton was welcomed by Sri Ram A/L Sivasambu, CEO of BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, who offered a private walkthrough of the upcoming development. Among the highlights was the reveal of Ministry of Crab, the internationally renowned Sri Lankan seafood restaurant listed on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Its upcoming opening at Tuah 1895 adds global weight to the destination’s culinary offerings.

Chef Ton also explored the space for his own first Malaysian venture—As I Am by Chef Ton—set to open at Tuah 1895 in collaboration with TOA Capital. The restaurant will offer a fun dining (Dining+) experience, showcasing modern Thai cuisine in a sleek, minimalist setting that blends creativity, culture, and craft.

True to his philosophy, Chef Ton’s expansion into Malaysia comes with years of groundwork—understanding the local culture, sourcing ingredients, and building community relationships to ensure each project is rooted in authenticity and excellence.

With Tuah 1895 welcoming world-class names like Ministry of Crab and Chef Ton, the development is poised to become a landmark of culinary excellence and cultural sophistication in Southeast Asia.
